“There once was a boy, and I loved him.”

Logan Silverstone is a broken boy with a past full of hardships. Alyssa Walters is an average girl trying to make her way in the world. He is quiet. She is loud. He has nothing. She has everything. They were best friends until he fell in love with her and she fell in love with him… then it all fell apart. Can you ever “unlove” someone? Someone who knows everything about you and completes you?

Brittainy C. Cherry has done it again! She has created another amazing story with a plot that will take you on an emotional journey, intriguing and complex characters who overcome life’s hardships/obstacles and beautifully written dialogue/interactions that that will take your breath away. This story is captivating, heartbreaking, heartwarming and simply wonderful. I loved it all…the ups and the downs.

Where do I even start!? This story will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. You won’t want to put it down! (Be ready to read this in one sitting!) From the very first sentence I was sucked into Alyssa and Logan’s story. Both of these characters are refreshing and real. Being able to see their lives as they grow up and making their ways in the world really helps to give perspective to how they become the individuals they are at the end of the story.

Every single detail that Brittainy gives in this story builds these complex characters. The details are rich and informative. These details really helped me to connect with Logan and Alyssa on individual levels and as a couple. Even though I have not experienced everything they have, I could relate, understand and sympathize. Also, the chemistry between Logan and Alyssa is hot! Hot, hot, hot! These two characters complement each other in every way…when they are affectionate and when they fight.

The secondary characters (Kellan, Erika, Lori, Logan’s Mother and Alyssa’s Mother…etc) are essential. They bring so much to the story and aid in the progression of the plot. I fell in love with each and every character. Never did I feel like they distracted from the main story line and the main characters.

The dialogue and interactions. Oh. My. God. Seriously. Some of the most beautiful, heart breaking and heartwarming words I have ever read. I stopped multiple times to just let the words sink in. So good!

I am so glad that I found this author. Her books are so wonderful – check them out! (The Air He Breathes is also one of my favorites!)
