About

Kelly
Hello!

I’m Kelly (If you didn’t already know that!) and welcome to my book blog! Before I get to my reviews, I wanted to share a little about myself.

I’m extremely passionate about reading and writing. I graduated from Michigan State University with two BAs in English (concentration in Creative Writing) and Advertising in 2013. When I graduated from college I always thought I would go into publishing. Everything about sharing the written word excited me but life doesn’t always go as planned! I currently work for a real estate company and I love it!
Since I was little, my passion for reading and writing has grown with me. The imprint and connection a single book can make on someone, especially myself, has fascinated me. It’s amazing that any piece of writing can take you on an adventure. As my mother used to say, “You can ride an elephant, go deep sea diving and fly to the moon…all from your room just by reading!” How true!

I enjoy stories that take me for a ride – make my heart race and ache – and force me to slow down to savor every word (yes! I am a speed reader!). Sometimes I get caught with tears running down my cheeks and sometimes I laugh out loud. Anytime a story makes me feel and leaves me thinking days after is my favorite. I hope to review and share as many of these books as possible with you.

My reviews can be found on:

I am an Amazon Associate and I do make some commissions off of certain links. I really appreciate any support!!

I am also a member of NetGalley. I can be reached at kellysbookblog@gmail.com.

My current focus is on Romance novels. If you are interested in sending me a copy of your book for an honest review, please email me your book title, synopsis, release/publication date and any other information. I choose books that I think I will enjoy and I try to fill my calendar evenly for the year.

Happy Reading!

  1. I’d love to send you a copy of Find Me, a romantic suspense novel, for your review. It’s the third book in The Donovan Family series, but can be enjoyed as a standalone.

New York Times bestselling author Susan Elizabeth Phillips says “Margaret Watson, a star in the world of contemporary romance, grabs you on the opening page and keeps you reading to the happily ever after.”

Margaret Watson is a two-time RITA Finalist with thirty books in print for Harlequin and Silhouette and many other award-winning romantic suspense novels. For a complete list of books, visit her website at http://www.margaretwatson.com.

When not writing, Margaret practices veterinary medicine in the Chicago area.

  13. Thank you for visiting my blog it’s really appreciated. Not sure if my books will rock your boat. One is true historical romance and the other is about a serial killer two very different genres.

  14. Hi Kelly thanks for your reply. My historical romance is the story of my 5th great grandmother – an heiress who ran away with the coachman💕 It’s called Grace Roscoe. My thriller serial killer is called Unholy Revenge, both can be found on Amazon. Both have connections to a small market, and are doing OK here in England but may be a bit too British for the American market.

  17. Hi Kelly! Thank you for visiting my blog and following. Am now following you back! And I think, you cannot really call yourself a booknerd or bookworm if you haven’t cried or laughed because of a book. 😀 Aside from adventures, those are one of its perks. xP

  18. Hi, Kelly. Our lives seem to have run parallelly: I aspired to go into literature and creative writing, but life (namely, parents) pointed me to take up marketing studies. So after doing BBA as a marketing major, I got into the corporate field while planning to again go into creative writing but under the umbrella of publishing, so at least my parents would look at it as a “structured” occupation. Again did not happen so I carried on with my work in the hotel industry collecting experience in marketing and doing my MBA. Last year, I said to hell with it. I’m now secure enough to pursue my passion. So here I am, writing 🙂
