Foster Kavanaugh is a ladies man with a rough and tough exterior. He is a former Navy Seal learning to live and cope with his past experiences from serving his country. He has built a life and started his own security company in which he takes a lot of pride in. He does what he wants, when he wants and doesn’t take shit from anyone…except her, Noelle, his office manager. Noelle knows exactly what to say, what to do and what to wear to push him to his limits. The woman drives him crazy. Staying away from her is difficult and when he realizes she may be in danger, he won’t let her out of his sight!
Noelle had to run and leave everything she once knew behind. Just as she was getting settled into her new job and learning to deal with her sexy as hell but smart ass boss, Foster, her life comes crashing down again. She knows she should run but Foster makes it difficult…
Foster has never wanted anyone like he wants Noelle and Noelle needs Foster more than ever.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED this story! The chemistry between Noelle and Foster was on fire and honestly, it’s what drove the book forward and kept me wanting more! I was laughing out loud at their interactions and banter. I loved every scene that they were together in and looked forward to the next moment they would interact. Noelle’s feisty yet sweet personality and Foster’s rough and tough alpha personality collide to create an interesting and intriguing dynamic! R. C. Bolt does an amazing job of creating these two complex characters, who have quite a lot in common, in a way that is real and relatable and makes a fantastic story!
There are some deep issues covered in this story. Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and abuse. Both of these issues were essential to the storyline and help to show growth in the main characters. Sometimes it is hard to understand and grasp but the story is written in a way that helps bring attention to these issues. Very well done.
Overall this story will take you for a ride. There are twists and turns that will keep you intrigued and hello! Sexy alpha male!? Sweet and feisty woman!? HOT chemistry and funny(sometimes awkward) banter!? Yes please.
