My Review:

It’s suggested to reads Blood Laws first (My Review HERE) but not required. I was concerned since it’s been a while since I read Blood Laws but I had no issues reading this.

YES!  Lexi has done it again!

She has created another great paranormal romance that is full of magical details, well-developed characters and HOT chemistry! I really enjoyed this book.

As always, here’s my spiel on paranormal reads (specifically romances). Sometimes paranormal books can be so “out of this world” that it is hard to connect with the story but when an author is able to mix both the magical and normal worlds in a way that they seamlessly fit together…BAM…a great story is being told. Forbidden Bonds (and Blood Laws) is one of these books. Lexi does provide the reader with a short glossary in the front of this book. I highly suggest reading it and you may find yourself referencing it…that’s okay! Do it!

Let’s talk about the characters, Thomas “Tom” and Amelia. Both of these characters are well-developed in a way that I was able to easily connect with each of them. I normally side/connect with the female lead character in most books but not in this one. I instantly connected with Tom and loved seeing his complicated story unfold. He is physically and mentally strong and has some tricks up his sleeve – read to find out! To me, he is mysterious and a bit unpredictable. Amelia is a great character too. She is strong, independent and feisty. I LOVED her feisty attitude mixed with Tom’s smart and sharp personality. It creates A LOT of HOT HOT HOT chemistry. I couldn’t get enough of them together!!!

Without giving away the story too much, I loved how it started. It begins with a prisoner/captor situation between the two main characters and we, as readers, get to read/see Tom and Amelia interact in some intense situations. We also get to see their true intentions and feelings come to the surface during these events. It was SOOOOOOO good! I completely forgot at one point that this was a paranormal romance and that’s a HUGE moment for me.
