Hunter’s Moon by Angela Colsin (Book Review)

Paranormal Romance/Werewolf Romance

ARC was provided for an honest review.

Caleb lost her and it was all his fault. She died because of him…because of what he is. Unable to handle another heartbreaking tragedy, he decides to swear off humans as companions. When a human woman shows up in his hometown he knows to stay away but something keeps pulling him in.

Emily takes a new job in a new city. She is settling in and finally able to start her new life. Everyone is very welcoming except him, Caleb. He is clearly avoiding her and maybe that’s for the best but there is something that intrigues her. Caleb is handsome and mysterious…can she accept his dark secrets?

I have said it before and I will say it again, Angela Colsin knows how to create a wonderfully complex paranormal world with many different characters whom interweave between all of her stories. She knows how to make the paranormal aspects REAL. She knows how to seamlessly fit in these details to create an experience for the reader. If you really enjoy paranormal books (werewolves, witches, fae and more) and the world(s) they live in…this book and her others are for you. There is so much “meat” to her stories, they are so much more than just a hot romance. Don’t worry, there are sexy scenes and hot chemistry!!!

Since this story was entertainingly complex, I really felt that I became immersed into the story and was forced to slow down to take in every detail. As a speed reader I enjoy flying through books and devouring them but I also enjoy a book or two that challenges me. Ones that force me to slow down. I found this story to have a detailed plot with complex characters and some HOT romance. I only wished the chemistry/interest between Caleb and Emily would have taken off a little sooner and smoldered a bit more BUT I do appreciate Angela setting the scene for her characters!

Overall, I enjoyed this book and I really enjoyed Angela’s other works too. (I still think Blue Moon is my favorite but all are so good!) Check them out!

Releases tomorrow on Amazon

  1. Great review! I haven’t ever read a paranormal novel, but I’m glad to hear that the complexity of the world building is quite present in this! 😀
