Review Request(s)

I have a new page on my blog. You can find the Review Request(s) link on the top bar of kellybookblog.com. I wanted to share this info with all of you too…

Review Request(s)

If you are interested in learning a little more about me, check out my ABOUT page.

Here’s the lowdown on my review/blogging/marketing process. I have this blog, a Facebook page, an Instagram, Goodreads account and Amazon account. (Follow me and let me know so I can follow back!) I typically post my reviews and share book content at these places. I am a member of NetGalley, which is where I get most of my ARCs (advance reader copies) and I am part of a few author review teams.

How do I choose what I will review? I am very open to reading new things but I keep a tight schedule and try to not “over book” (get it!?) my weekly/monthly/yearly schedule. When it comes to choosing a book… I simply choose books that I think I will like.

What types of books do you review? My current focus is on romance books. I really enjoy contemporary romances, mafia romances, motorcycle club romances, paranormal romances and more!

How do I rate my reviews? I review books on a 5 Star system and will use half stars as well. 5 Stars – One of my favs!
4 Stars – Great read!
3 Stars – Good read!
2 Stars – The books lacks many things.
1 Star- I did not care for it at all.
Here’s the thing…if I think a book is below 3 stars, I won’t post it. I want (and prefer) to share and celebrate with you all the books that I really enjoy.

What other content do you share? I share reviews, cover reveals, excerpt reveals, sales, bookmail, book box reveals and more BUT I typically only share content from books that I have read or from the authors that I have read books from. I stand behind the things I share. If I love a book, series and/or author I want to share that with you all.

How do I submit Review Request(s)? If you are interested in sending me a copy of your book for an honest review, please email (kellysbookblog@gmail.com) your book title, synopsis, release/publication date and any other information you may have. I choose books that I think I will enjoy and I try to fill my calendar evenly for the year. I do try to respond to everyone but I also sometimes miss emails, please be patient and if you haven’t heard back from me, email again!

Happy Reading & Writing! ❤

  1. I need to do this for my next book due to release in April. Are you not booked too full? I’m hoping to have it ready to read by March. 😊

      1. Yay! Okay. I’ll send an email when I get a little closer. It’s the next book in the series. 😊😊

  2. I get surprisingly a lot of Review Requests. Lately I have been scheduling them and putting them on my calendar on my iPad I make it give me a two day advance alert, and then I have time to read it in case I forgot, though most authors understand if you’re running behind. But I was also getting requests for books I would never read.
One lady asked me to review a book and I politely declined bc it wasn’t my genre. She sent me the book anyway. When she emailed me again, it was to check on my progress. I told her again that it wasn’t for me and I was sorry if there was a misunderstanding the first time. She thanked me for my review. I dont think she even read my response. Weird.
But good luck: maybe I should post something like this to ensure I don’t get a bunch of review requests of books I wouldn’t like to read. Great idea!

    1. Wow! I haven’t had that happen to me yet but there have been some books I have declined. I try to schedule my books evenly for each week…it gets difficult to read and review when I have 4 releasing on one day! Thanks for sharing with me. I always wonder what other bloggers do! ❤❤❤❤
