My Review:
Let’s jump right into this sexy read and why I absolutely LOVE it!
Kennedy Fox (two secret authors under one name) has created a captivating romance with well-developed main and secondary characters that will make you FEEL! This book sucked me in, took me for a ride and allowed me to connect with each of the characters. It’s an amazing read you cannot miss!
The main characters, Logan and Kayla are perfect! Both are strong, determined and sweet. They are very easy to connect with and relate too. Each of them have detailed pasts/back stories that drive this story. You get see see how their pasts have shaped them and how they must grow. That alone, to me, is thrilling and fun! Logan is a sexy detective -HELLO- and gentleman who loves with his whole heart. He would do anything for his friends and family. Kayla is quirky, sweet and a very down to earth woman who also has a heart of gold. Together they have amazing chemistry, great banter and many awkward/funny moments that will have you laughing out loud and grinning from ear to ear. (I laughed out loud SO MANY times. Kayla was constantly cracking me up!) I was thoroughly entertained throughout this book.
Now this is different for each reader BUT I really enjoyed how this book isn’t instalove. I love seeing characters getting to know each other, flirt and have sexy chemistry. This allows me to connect with the characters and see their relationship deepen with the story’s progression. Kudos to Kennedy Fox… I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book.
I am not joking when I say there are some seriously awkward yet hilarious moments in this book especially with donuts. You heard me. Donuts! You cannot miss this sexy and *sweet* read.
There is a cliffhanger at the end of this book but don’t let that turn you away. The next book is coming out SOON – September. Read this now so you will be ready for the continuation…I CAN’T WAIT!
