Mafia Romance

“I shouldn’t have remembered him.
He was just a guy who walked through a restaurant. I didn’t know his name. We never made eye contact. There was no connection between us at all.
But I could feel him.
The tingle down my spine. The command in his presence. The snap of tension in the air around him. That was the first time I saw him, and I was captivated.
The second time was different.
He was in the mysterious back elevator of my apartment building. Our eyes met for a fleeting second before the doors closed, and I was staggered. My breath was robbed. My senses on high alert. My body hummed.
That was just the beginning.
He was the leader of the mafia. I was about to fall in love with him, and his name…
Cole Mauricio”

I DEVOURED this book! It took me *maybe* a hour to read this whole book. Why? Because it was SOOOOO captivating and thrilling! This book will take you for a ride.

I am a sucker for a good Mafia Romance. I love when a storyline is about a Mafia Leader falling in love with an innocent (yet strong) woman. The dark and forbidden romance is so exciting and the mafia aspect is so interesting! This book is exactly what I needed to wake me from my current reading slump.

Addison is a recently widowed woman who watched her husband die in a car crash. She is plagued with the horrid sights and sounds, unable to escape them. Luckily she has her good friend, Sia, to help lift her up and get her back out into the world. Sia encourages her to leave her old life, that was built with her husband, and adventure out. Addison moves into a new and expensive apartment. Luckily her husband left her with a huge inheritance. She splurges on the expensive yet very secure apartment in hopes to ease her troubled mind, she never expects to get tangled up with a sexy neighbor or the mafia.

This book has twist and turns that I didn’t see coming which made me love it even more. I also really enjoyed the two main characters of Cole and Addison. Addison is not a young and dumb woman but yet there is still an innocence to her that plays well with Cole. Cole is dark and mysterious. I love that he is strong and in a powerful mafia position. He isn’t controlling and overly dominating. The chemistry between these two was on point!

I wanted MORE of this book to read. Ugh! Commence the book hangover.
