Adult Romance/Mafia Romance (“Mild” Cliffhanger Ending)

Tripp is a former marine whose job was to take down terrorist but now that he retired from the service he is in a dirty business. He is a gun runner. Making money on the exchange of deadly weapons that are sought after by powerful and rich individuals, love is the last thing he expects to find. Love is also the last thing he thinks he needs in his life until he encounters a gorgeous woman being dragged out of a small coffee shop by her ex. When he steps in and “saves” her he is faced with a beautiful and spunky woman. He can’t get her out of his mind, even long after their first encounter.

Terra is a daughter of Italian mob boss. Her life is easy. She has money, friends and family but little does she know, her life constantly revolves around danger. Although she not active in the mafia business, there is always someone looking to get even with her father. When she meets a handsome man in a suit willing to “save” her from her ex, she doesn’t expect to have an instant connection and desire. She has no clue who he really is or how he makes his money or that he is in a dangerous business.

Tripp is hiding his business from Terra and Terra is hiding her family from Tripp. Can their hot chemistry turn into something more? Will their love overcome all the lies and secrets that threaten to surface?

I have really enjoyed the mafia/dark romance books lately! A couple of these ARCs have come to me and I loved them. The hot and gritty romance mixed with secrets and danger – so much fun! This book is one of those. It’s thrilling and captivating! It contains well-developed primary and secondary characters, a plot that progresses the story while keeping the reader engaged and HOT HOT HOT chemistry!

Tripp and Terra are well crafted individuals who have many differences and some similarities. Tripp lacks a family and Terra has her big Italian family. Tripp had to earn everything he has and Terra was given everything she needs. Both are strong and determined individuals looking to make their way in the world. Both have lives that revolve around danger. Together they are thrilling! Their chemistry is hot and the banter/interactions are hot (and fun). I also really enjoyed Tripp’s second hand man, Cap. I hope we get to see more of him in future works! This story will take you on a ride, I devoured this book in hours. Anytime the mafia and romance are in one book, you know it will likely be a thriller!

I am so excited that there will be more books in this series. There is a cliffhanger at the end of this book – it’s tolerable! Now I just have to wait…ugh! The worst part after you read a great book!
