I keep flip flopping on my star rating…I want to give this book more than 4 stars…like 4.25!? Anyway, here are my thoughts below. SPOILERS BELOW.

My key thoughts:

*Nesta won this book.
*Team Lucian forever.
*I want more of Mor.
*Az needs a licensed mental health professional.

***Spoilers below. Proceed with caution!***

Listen. Sarah J Maas knows how to write emotional, damaged and realistic characters. Ones that I initially disliked (cough Nesta cough) but then wins me over. And that’s huge! So I guess there is still a chance for Elain. Maybe.

*First chapter gutted me.
*Az drove me crazy with his love sick ways but also hey – I get it – boy just wants to be loved.
*Elain needs to grow up and speak for herself.
*NESTA WAS AMAZING. Girl spoke the words I’ve been dying to hear to Elain. And Nesta was the most detailed and intriguing character in this first movement.
*MOR! TELL ME MORE ABOUT YOU.
*That Lucian chapter had me almost throwing my kindle. EVERYONE BE NICE TO LUCIAN. YALL ARE JERKS TO HIM. He deserves so much more than Elain and especially from Feyre as an old friend.
*Feyre and Rhys were the same…I wasnt as interested by them. Give me all the other POVs.

This first movement was really good and sets up some possibly epic things to come. Here for it!
