Ezekiel “Zee” has a complicated and secret past but now he has created a life as a mechanic at a local garage and an underground fighter. He is a “bad boy” and has no problem getting any woman he wants, women practically throw themselves at his incredibly fit and tattooed body. One day a woman walks into his gym that sets him on edge. She is gorgeous and seems to be like every other rich girl he encounters but something about her drives him wild.

Tamara has the perfect life set up for her. She working towards earning her spot in the family owned business, has a straight laced boyfriend who brings her flowers and ultimately lives the life of an innocent rich girl. She doesn’t know it yet but she wants more. When she meets an incredibly attractive and dirty mouthed man at a gym, a fire ignites within her.

I LOVED this book. I am from Michigan and having this story set in Detroit is really cool! Bonus points! It’s not just the setting I love; this story contains complex characters, a thrilling plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat and a lot of gritty and dirty sex.

Zee is an alpha male who likes to assert his dominance. He is sexy, strong and takes no shit. Tamara seems to be the sweet rich girl – but she’s NOT! She has spunk and doesn’t like to be pushed around. She likes to challenge Zee and stand up for herself (even though she is still quite innocent). There were many times that I was like “you go girl!” These two together made for some amazing entertainment! I couldn’t help but to grin and laugh out loud at their banter and interactions. They are really hot, awkward and over all thrilling!

This story kept me captivated to the very end. Tamara grows up a lot and I really liked seeing that. She realizes what makes her happy and that the life she is currently leading is not doing so. Her life is preplanned to be “perfect”. She is working to get the perfect job, she is going to have a perfect husband, perfect home, perfect everything…but none of it is what she truly wants. Zee shows her that she can be herself and that she is entitled to more than her planned life. He makes her feel wild and free! Zee sees Tamara as someone way out of his league. He thinks she deserves better than him. Zee also grows in this story, not in the exact way Tamara does, and learns that he is worthy of love and Tamara could be the perfect woman for him.

If you’re looking for a dark, gritty and dirty romance, this book is for you! I am really looking forward for more books in the Motor City Royals series. It looks there may be another coming out by the end of this year!
